A Big Thanks to Everyone for a Great Cross Fit 2025 Day Camp

Wow what an amazing God filled week we had last week.

We started on Monday with about 40 kids preschool to 5th grade, 4 rainbow trail counselors, 10 servant leaders paired with those counselors, Pastor Nicole , Intern Teddy , myself and Marlys , karen Tolley in the kitchen who was also our camp nurse, Karla Balk doing crafts and Kim Marlin, Maddie And Gabrie with the preschoolers. Lastly our wonderful volunteers who spent the day with the high energy kids.

We studied about how God Changes me, practicing our faith, what if we get stuck and community.

Our day always started with prayer, a skit and singing lots of songs. Bible study, Craft, games and of course wonderful snacks .

After lunch we had more learning with service projects:

• Basic need kits
• Encouragement cards
• Blankets for Fostering Hope
• Stuffed animals for police and firefighters
• Bird feeders
• Friendship rocks
• Field Day inside church it was raining
• Visit from local fire department and spraying of the hose, which is always a highlight!!!
• We went on a scavenger hunt through the neighborhood next to us which ended with a snack at one of the houses
• Bingo with our friends
• And finally closing with more singing and prayer

There were tears the first day of not being sure, but about an hour in to the day those tears turned to smiles and lots of laughter and fun.. we had a few unexpected events with pouring down rain, a malfunctioning paper towel dispenser, we all didn’t understand how it could get stuck you just wave your hand in front of it, but just so u all know if it breaks again Pastor Nicole and Marlys are the ones to call they became close friends with the paper towel dispenser 27 min to be exact. There was a flood in the kitchen after lunch thank you Jeff and volunteers for cleaning that up. But What was most impressive was how well we all just pivoted and moved on.

The counselors on Thursday asked the kids a high and low of camp. Almost all said their high was so much fun at camp and their low was it was last day of camp and they were sad.

My heart is so full and I could go on and on with stories from the week , but instead of listening to me, and a big thank you to Kim Marlin for making a slide show for all of you to see all the fun we had.

A great big thank you to everyone who made this week Of Faith and fellowship possible with volunteering your time and talents, plus all the donations of supplies . All gratefully appreciated. It takes a village and Trinitys village is awesome!!!!

I personally cant wait for next year , I’m already planning.
