Building Hope: Trinity Lutheran Church Mens Fellaship Makes a Difference
At Trinity Lutheran Church, we believe in the power of community and the importance of lending a helping hand to those in need. Our Men’s Fellaship group embodies this spirit, gathering every third Thursday of the month to engage in meaningful fellowship and support as well as plan projects that make a real difference in the lives of others.
Recently, our dedicated members came together for a special project that truly reflects our church’s motto: “Touched by the hand of God to touch the lives of others.” In partnership with SHP Beds (shpbeds.org), we set out to build five sturdy bunk beds for children in our area who do not have a proper place to sleep.
The impact of this project is profound. With these five bunk beds, we are providing a safe and comfortable sleeping space for ten children who would otherwise be sleeping on the floor. This simple act of kindness not only improves their physical well-being but also fosters a sense of dignity and hope for a brighter future.
The event was filled with camaraderie, laughter, and a shared sense of purpose as our members worked side by side building the beds. It was a reminder of the strength of our congregation and the importance of coming together to serve our community.
We invite all men in our congregation to join us for our meetings on the third Thursday of the month.
Thank you and congratulations to everyone who participated in this project and to SHP Beds for their partnership. Let us continue to be the hands and feet of Christ, reaching out to those in need and making a difference, one bunk bed at a time.
